Previously I had thought that Port 587 was a docking place for cargo ships on the waterfront. The version file was sent to me by the tech support guy from my ISP. I asked him if he knew how to change the outgoing port in Emailer. He said that he didn't know, but he rummaged around in a file there that said "Emailer," and came up with that. He said he didn't know what it was, but maybe I could find out. So I followed your instructions and substituted that file for your SMTP Auth hack version. It works perfectly. On Friday I will be in a place where I use a public free wi-fi connection and I will be able to tell if this is going to solve my problem of not being able to get email out from those places (even though everything comes in perfectly there). It looks promising now. So I will let you know how this turns out. Thanks for your help, Bill _______________________________oOo______________________________ William D.
