Since Chris did not make this point in the past few mails, I want to jump
in and answer to the question 'Why ISP's would not also start refusing
port 587 from now on'.

This question was asked a few mails ago.
The answer is:

The normal SMTP ports are being blocked to ousiders because just anyone
who is not a direct traceable customer of the ISP can dump in any mail he
or she desires and hence embark in spamming.

The port 587 is a second entry port to the mailserver for delivering
mail-to-be-sent-out, but the difference is that an authentication is
being asked first, so that even when you ask for the services of your
home ISP to forward your mails onto the net, and you happen to be on the
road (via other ISP's that is), you will first 'tell who you are', and
after that you can dump in whatever mail you like. But if it is spam,
then your name will be on record.

Hope this clarifies a little..

since a couple of months and ongoing)

PS: does anybody have a UPS or FEDEX account that could be used to ship
me some spare parts for computers. Dont mention your account on this
list, burt drop me a mail in private.
I am buying some spares at a US company, but they dont want to ship to
Europe unless I have a registered UPS or FEDEX account. We do not have
enough shipments to have such an account.
