I have posted a couple times to the EMa list, with no responses.

Here is my latest. Wondering if anyone is able to make Emailer work with
eMa? I can't even make it work with Apple Mail, so I am doing something
obviously wrong. Would appreciate any help here. ;-)

My last posting:

I have never been able to get eMessage Archiver to work starting since
the 3.x series. I need to start archiving email, so tried again, using
the latest version.

I don't know what I am doing wrong, so I will give a step by step below.

Experiencing this on a Powerbook G4 laptop, Mac OS 10.4.10. My Email apps
are two versions of Claris Emailer which are normally run concurrently,
and Apple Mail. I intend to start migrating to another mail application
once I get Emailer mail safely archived.

Here are the steps:
Start with a freshly downloaded copy of eMa, 4.10b5
Copy the eMa folder to the applications folder
Put the clean database in the documents folder.
Load the target Email program (tried both Mail and Emailer)
Double Click the Document, eMessage Database.ema
eMessage database loads
Go to the Preferences message
Select "Application to Archive From", Emailer (or Mail)
Select "Application to Send Email Via", have tried Mail, none or Emailer
Go to Setup page
The appropriate icon for Mail or Emailer is showing near upper left
Click on Update Lists
Error message:
Error -10660 in 'Launch eMessage Transfer: run':
Error -10660 in LaunchApplication: An error of
type -10660 has occurred.

I do not think I have left anything out here.

I have repeated this selecting both Mail and Emailer at different times.
I have tried it with Mail and Emailer running and not running.

If I go to the log, its empty, as I see the message: "Log Reset on
07/26/2007"

I must be missing something obvious, so would really appreciate a
pointer. I can understand Emailer having some problems, but with Mail not
working, there must be a step I am missing.
I tried reading the help, searching the yahoo group, trying as many
settings and options as I could find, etc, but still can't figure this
out. Its probably a simple click somewhere. Or maybe there is a way to
hard-code the path to the selected Email app, which maybe I might need if
I am going to use this with seperate versions of Emailer?
