>Since around the first of the year, I've had trouble being able to >consistently connect to AOL. I'm running Emailer 2.1 on 10.3.9 on a G4 >iMac, and I've been connecting to AOL for years. I've noticed the same problem using 10.4.11 >This most recent >problem appears when Emailer is connecting to AOL... it shows that it >is connecting, but then hangs when checking the password. This happens >on all of our accounts (whether stopping the connection to let it move >on to the next, or trying to connect just to one account or the other). > Sometimes the problem appears to be fixed if I restart Classic, or >restart the iMac itself, but it's not a reliable fix, nor is it really >acceptable to tell me wife and kids to restart the Mac everytime they >want to check their mail. This is the same for me, as well. >Have you considered PowerMail <www.ctmdev.com>? PM is very Emailer like, >multiple accounts, good filters, and Applescript support is good. I'd be interested to hear more from PowerMail users. Elsewhere in the web, I read a lot of comments about poor support. cYa Hib Halverson ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
