I had tried navigating and then I had tried dragging - several times! And it didn't work on either computer. Then I put my laptop to sleep and went sailing (Albacores - 2 man racing dinghies - fun!) I returned to Peter's email and thought I might just check that Spotlight pref again - and lo and behold the CE folder was well ensconced. The desktop (which had also been asleep)was not showing anything so I tried dragging again and it worked this time there too. Computers, eh? (I am Canadian.....) Thanks for responding!
