I swtiched to Apple Mail years ago, when I moved out of Classic OS9. I've gotten accustomed to Mail and it's fine for me.

What I wish I had was an easy way to access old Classic files -- Emailer, Word, whatever -- on newer OS X systems. I've got 10.5 now, but am getting messages that Firefox wants me to be several systems up the line. Mountain Lion? I think I'm still on Teddy Bear.... Still on the property I have an iMac running 9, an iBook running 9 and capable of the first OS 10. My everyday rig is this MacBook. I want to get rid of the iMac and iBook, but for now having the old machine is the only way I know to access archived Classic items like old Emailer files, some of which could still be relevant.

I'm no power user. Nothing geeky. I just wish there were a simple application I could download to the MacBook that would translate Classic when needed.

Hi again e-friends of Claris Emailer

Since this list is "slated for its demise", could
I suggest that for whomever is left, a final <re>posting
of some measure of the various major yummies of info
that have helped out over time.

Perhaps a list of various "unwritten" <except on past
postings on list> key combinations, or a little creating
of some kind of ad-hoc "User Guide to C.E. use" would
be a fitting ending.

Don't know if Chris is still around, but he probably
wouldn't go for having a slice of his brain uploaded
directly. I got first dibs on it if he gets a direct
USB3 brain port though.

Maybe a list of the major features of C.E. that we
liked most? I lost a part of my C.E. archive in a
crash just a couple weeks ago. Backup helped, a lot,
but didn't save it all.

Thoughts anyone?
