My interest in the XML/XSLT capabilities of version 2
prompted me to install it on my development server. I
just got it going and got it to do transformations.

Gadzooks I am thrilled by this.

My plan is to quickly spit out a demo site for a
potential client using this. My familiarity with perl
will permit me to do this quickly. My thought was I'd
use this to model, prototype and demo, then I'd build
the sites in Java/JSP. Thing is, I move very slowly
in Java. I'm tempted to make production sites in
Embperl 2 instead. PHP is an option, but I have
always been skeptical of it.

So the question: Gerald, when when when will this be
stable? What is your estimate? (Sorry if it's
documented somewhere and I missed it.)

Of course, I don't mean to sound pushy, it just
affects my thinking about upcoming projects. I want
to know Java/JSP, but I wouldn't mind sticking with
something I know very well: perl and now Embperl... if
not for my sanity, for the pocketbooks of my clients.

Great work, Gerald. I have gone through fits of
thinking I should have gone with Mason, but I just had
a good feeling about how Embperl works. My Embperl 2
preview puts any doubts to rest, for the XML support
and other changes as well.

Also, of course, let me know what I can do to help.
