Yes, that's a problem. Java is much more "in" then Perl is. It's easier to
sell a Java solution to any manager who didn't have much technical
experiences, then selling Perl.

Unformunately that's also true. You will find more Java programmers then
Embperl programmers, but on the other side if you know already Perl and have
some idea of web applications, it isn't hard to do it with Embperl.

Yes, some people think this. Mainly people who never really used Perl. On
the other side I know a lot of people who prefer Perl over Java because

1.) You get things faster done in Perl
2.) Perl solutions tend to be more stable
3.) You have CPAN and a great community

Sometimes you have to sell a solution because poeple want it, also you know
there are better solutions...
