Yup, with much regret and foreboding, I started pulling my Bridgeport apart.
I expected difficulty, but forgot what a mass of confusion I left when I 
assembled
the rack back in early 1999.  Yuck!  I can't believe I left it like that 
- Oh, but it
was WORKING!  (That's the two little guys sitting on opposite shoulders 
talking!)

And, now I'm finding all the quirks on encoder index handling with the PPMC
encoder boards.  So, good will come out of it!
