Thanks for this clear summary.  I have some more questions and things
for you to do please:

Please post the more detailed report of the unexpected delays which is
in dmesg.  Please copy the report exactly.

If you can cause a few of them on different runs of EMC2 and post them
it will help us understand what is happening.

Also are you using the magma kernel from the emc2 repository or did
you build your own?  I ask because speed scaling is disabled in the
emc2 magma kernel. 

Have you run the rtai kern/latency test for a while on a loaded 
system, and if so, what are the results after a long run?  Please
post that information too, copy a line from the results after a
long run.

Do you have another video card that is not nvidia that you could try?
