Maybe we could get John or Alex to mention this behavior in the docs please.
I would think that a pause for up to speed would be very important for constant 
surface feed.
On a large lathe the spindle does not slowdown/speed up that fast -the feed 
rate could be considerably heavier if the spindle in not up to speed.
while using constant surface feed if you program a rapid out to a large 
diameter does the spindle follow or does it only follow during feed calls.
