I used system links from modules to EMC directories.
I had always started glade from terminal and it worked fine.
If I start glade from GUI the led widget is not available.
Thanks for setting me on the probable path to fix it.

Instead of using system link I can tell glade where to look for libraries.
This would probably be the way to go in an installed EMC.
I am really not up on this stuff - I just research and hack away till it works.
