Well, it seems to be a bug in the Linux enumeration of the port.  It 
seems like we ought
to report this to somebody, but I don't have any idea who that would 
be.  Clearly,
this works fine on a number of motherboards in 8.04.  I don't have 10.04 
running on
anything here, so I can't test it.  Anybody who has an EPP capable 
motherboard should
be able to test it with 10.04 just by setting it in the BIOS for EPP and 
then checking
/proc/ioports for the extra address field.

So, I don't know for SURE that this only applies to certain Intel Atom 
motherboards,
but I'm guessing we would have heard about it by now if it was a broader 
problem.

Anyway, I got Don Stanley through creating a script that would run 
pcisetup before
EMC, and setting the pcisetup executable so it had privileges to run.  
So, that ONE
user is in good shape for now.
