well yes HAL is a system of connecting components and running them in sequence. Your asking for the components to be defined by scripts? How does this script know anything about what linuxcnc can do? For instance linuxcnc does not support the type of homing you want and HAL knows nothing of trajectory planning. can you give an example? I mean really isn't a c program a script ? I guess I just don't understand what you mean be scriptable. I just trying to fully understand.
