Work is in progress.  It's taking a bit as I don't code in C often and
it takes a while to come back up to speed.  Plus so far the holidays
aren't helping (today was spent baking gingerbread houses for my
daughter's girl scout troop).  :)

I'm hoping to have something that works and is testable by others for
the 5i25 card I have on-hand in the next day or two (although the code
will be ugly[1]).  Of course, direct parallel port I/O should be
working already...

[1] Ugly in this context means statically supporting one board
(instead of dynamically allocating state memory and creating linked
lists of the boards found) and probably not supporting x86 I/O ports
(required for the PLX based Mesa cards).
