Well, the reason to add it to installed.xml is so that layman will sync 
the overlay when it syncs my other overlays.

But, on to more technical matters. Bari and seb are very supportive of 
auto generating ebuilds upon new releases. I know you are working on 
more than just linuxcnc ebuilds, but maybe we can all figure out a way 
to generate a new ebuild and manifest on releases and push the linuxcnc 
stuff to the Gentoo CNC overlay in an automated fashion?
