Well, if I clone the thing, and then pull to synch updates, I figure in
the long run a bit of cli work here, will save whoever is paying the
bill for linuxcnc.org, will be paying for several gigabytes less
bandwidth. I just wish the makefile had a hashtag generator so each
build was readily identifiable AND didn't overwrite the last build. I'm
only using 3% of a 240gig ssd to do this so far.

Part of my contribution to the cause. The odroid that was part of the
buildbot up to around 17 months ago, apparently had less than stellar
dependability so Seb shut that headache down, leaveing me alone to build
my own, which on a pi3b was a huge time killer even if the pi3's uptime
was power fail to power fail.

The pi4b's uptime has been similar and I've now fitted it with a 650 WA
ups. Now, with those same ssd drives plugged into a usb-3 port, both
lcnc-master and the preempt-rt kernels are under an hours build time on
that rpi4.

So since I'm next needing to fire up my mig and make mounting brackets to
mount the hoist that will lift the BS-1 up to the table on my G0704
since my back can't, at 85 yo & crushed disks, handle 80+ kg anymore.
But the hoist is Chinese, and its mounting brackets only fit Chinese
steel, so I've got to cut and weld brackets to fit American 2" steel.

Warmer weather and no wind are needed before I find out how rusty I am
with a mig welder. No wind so it doesn't blow my flood gas away, ruining
any chance of the 25% CO2 in it might harden my welds by adding a bit of
carbon to them. Thats why the flood gas is 25% CO2. Any carbon in the
wire (there is some in it) would be burned out by the fire anyway
without that CO2.

I've now made 2, maybe 3 offers to buy Seb an rpi4 with enough stuff to
make it part of the buildbot farm. TANSTAAFL principle IMO.

Crickets.

Excuses, excuses...

Cheers, Gene Heskett
