I think multispindle is a great addition to linuxcnc.

yes I can see what your idea was now.
I still think it would be better to use $-1 to specify 'all spindles'

Would that be a big code change?

It will only turn on spindles that have S > 0.

So you can set up combinations of spindle speeds and turn them on and
off together.
Or at least that was the idea.

(And thanks for testing this, I have never had a multi-spindle
machine, and so the whole multispindle patch is a best-guess based on
what I thought might be needed)
