Yes... And no! 🙂
Free usage is limited... Except for Open Source projects. So, before going
any further, I took the liberty to ask for LinuxCNC and here is the very
kind answer I received:

Hello Jérémie,
Wow, great to see you on Crowdin! 🤩
Feel free to invite translators to your project and translate the content :)
New Crowdin version is also right here to give a try:
https://enterprise.crowdin.com
You can freely launch your project here and invite the community - we'd be
happy to take care of onboarding and share some tips
We'd be super grateful for feedback too!
It is also free for Open Source. Forever.
We are very keen to hear any feedback from you soon 🙂

So seems like it's good to go if it suits us.

While at it, I also asked for support of troff/man pages format support and
request has already been transfered to dev team...

I also would like to investigate Weblate and Pootle, but at first sight,
they'd need an intance to be setup and manage. I could be able to do this
and even provide hosting for this. But time is by far the scarcier resource
and I'd rather concentrate on the project translation than on
infrastructure work.

I _think_ that gettext only works in the context of source code. I

Still have to test it further, but we may be able to translate man pages
directly using the tools already mentionned.

PS: update of POedit fixed connection to crowdin for web to desktop and
back translation toolchain 🙂 will keep yall on touch once tested

PS2: if you have time, please go have a look, and even better test at the
setup on crowdin. It's currently synced with my fork so no problem breaking
everything 😉
