"Signal Processing" is a common engineering term used in data communication.
Addressing e.g. filters, mixers in analog and Fourier, Z and Laplace
transformation in the digital world.
An engineer wouldn't expect to find simple logic or type converting
functions here.
I'ld suggest "basic logic and conversion" with the sub categories :
#1 combinatorial logic (or bool logic)
#2 data conversion
#3 type conversion
