Not impossible Sam. This computer is on a hanging shelf above the 6040,
and the garage door opener is only a couple feet away and it has a 330
mhz radio in it. And my portable phones need to get 10+ feet away from
any of the 3 computers before its reliable to talk on.
Quite a bit of electrical noise IOW. If it was strong enough, I'd set
up my
spec analyzer & see what it says. But its intended for a wired input, needs
an input signal that's about 100x stronger than a 3 foot antenna can pickup.
I tried to find our local 1kw M&P AM radio station using a 100 foot drop
cord for an antenna, he's only a long mile away, but couldn't find it on
the spec
display of my Siglent VNA.
If it is going to be a constant problem, I'll rig a cable amp between
the antenna and the
Siglent, an extra 20 db of gain might be educational.
