What might the problems be if I installed
your latest?
Well, you probably can't use hal_gpio to operate the native GPIO pins
on the Pi that I think you use.
That is correct for the lathe Andy, and that rpi4b is running perfectly
but I was referring to this machine, which is my main work box. Asus MB
in a huge kit tower I built about 20 years ago, but the MB is much
newer, has 3 sata controllers, 10T of SSD's, one .5TB it boots from &
one 2TB which is /home, a firewire for my ancient movie camera. 32G of
main memory, 6 core 3.9Ghz i5, space for 2 m2's but none installed.
yadda yadda. This is the box I do all my design work on. So I'm asking
about x86-64. Not arm64/pi's.
Thanks Andy.
Cheers, Gene Heskett, CET.
