Massimo, VDE 0565 contains 8 parts, the one dealing with chokes is part 2, part 2-1 and 2-2 which correspond to EN 138000, EN 138100 and EN 138101. (all dated march 1997) I could not find a corresponding IEC standard.

Within the technical data of a power line choke I read: "compliance with VDE 0565". I guess it's a large German standard about safety (?) and performances (?) of passive components used in power line filters. Does anybody know the corresponding IEC or CENELEC standards (if any)? The manufacturer claims a CE conformity. Is the compliance with this national standard enough? Thanks Massimo ------------------------------------------------------- ESAOTE S.p.A.
