The original question was specific to the LVD.
My response was specific to the LVD.

You raise a new question with regard to a future
EU directive, the requirements of which may very
well be quite onerous, and possibly quite out of
line with the three-block models for injury and
safety, from what I've heard.

Each manufacturer should keep abreast of the EU
activity, and decide for himself as to what 
action he should take now in anticipation of a
future directive.
