Qualifications Required BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent 10-15 years Product Safety/ EMC & Reliability hands on experience. Skills & Abilities Knowledge of Scheduling and Project Management tools Familiar with Reliasoft and or Relex Reliability software tools. Knowledge of IT or consumer electronics and knowledge of IEC 60950 or IEC 60335-2-82 product safety standards required. Knowledge of IT or consumer electronics CE marking and EMC requirements. Strong people manager and organization leader is desired. Results oriented. Requires solid technical depth. Delivers to commitments. Responsibilities Oversee Product Safety, EMC & Reliability schedules and compliance decisions on all newly developed and shipping products. Work closely with Safety, EMC, and failure analysis and quality assurance subject matter experts to determine best course of action on compliance issues. Assure that lessons learned are driven back into product designs. Actively provide and implement Product Safety, EMC and Reliability ideas where appropriate, and ensure that proper diligence is driven in understanding the technical and business ramifications. Submit and receive Product Safety approvals to CSA International Prior review to ensure compliance at outside labs Define, plan, organize, control, and complete a variety of complex, interdependent tasks using a finite set of data and resources. Attend meetings with Program management, product development, and middle management to obtain schedules, design plans, and information to successfully meet deadlines. Interface with CSA International, EMC houses and product development to meet product approval deadlines. Manage schedules for Product Safety, EMC and Reliability to meet deadlines. Ensure WMS internal labs and equipment are always compliant and in working order. Ensure WMS products comply with worldwide standards, and available for sale.
