I don't think that you really could or should CE mark a WDM. It is strictly a component whose properties regarding EMC and safety could only be determined once it is designed into a system. I'm racking my brain to try to think of a reason why you would or should CE mark a WDM; but I can't think of one right now. My knowledge is that CE marking states the OEM declares conformance with all the directives that are in place at the time the product is placed on the market. LVD wouldn't apply. EMCD? Does it have to be tested with the larger system that it would be a component of? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
