Dear Folks: How would you go about CE marking a purely optical passive device used in a Telecomm application like a WDM? My knowledge is that CE marking states the OEM declares conformance with all the directives that are in place at the time the product is placed on the market. LVD wouldn't apply. EMCD? Does it have to be tested with the larger system that it would be a component of? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
