Well, then, by all means, those who insisted that 'earth' be used, instead of 'ground,' in the writing of all these IEC safety standards, needs to get in step with the rest of the world, instead of trying to make the world conform to their terminology. =8O I doubt that this will really be a problem. Manuals typically include photos or drawings or stick figures with arrows to indicate motion that make context clear enough. Those that don't read the manuals, as suggested may occur, won't have the conflict in any case. Regards, Peter L.
