HI Luke, this has always caused "discussions"
Usually a power line refers to a single conductor, whereas the power input may refer to several conductors. Most standards test just the "hot" lead(s) assuming "ground/neutral" is local or carries no noise. It's an assumption that a power input is one that "powers" the box. I take a more rigorous view and insist that any wire attached to a power bus is treated the same. This would include sense wires, pull up signals, control signals through their loads etc. After all, any noise on a power line WILL stress whatever is connected to it. Conversely, any line that hooks to the power bus needs to be quiet.
