The list of required certifications to sell PCs (and other IT equipment) worldwide seems to be getting larger and larger by the day. I can only identify about half of the regulatory markings on the back of my PC and Monitor these days.
I have to pre-install software on a PC with monitor and ship it to China (from the USA). I was hoping that since this equipment is part of a Laboratory Equipment System that it would not have to have the CCC certification mark, but now it has been held up in Customs. Does anyone know a argument I can make to get around this? Years ago when I worked for a PC company, we had access to a list that showed all the required certifications a PC had to have to ship into each country. I know this list must be huge today, but does a well maintained list exist and if so where might I find it? We want to specify buy/sell PCs that we can ship anywhere worldwide, if possible, but we don’t know what all the requirements are. Thanks to all for any info.
