Not much reading of machinery safety stuff. Does ISO13849-1 or IEC62061 list
ISO12100 as the normative ref for RA?

Per equipment not scoped by machinery directive, what would be rationale of
using ISO12100 as basis for presumption of conformity?

Thanks,
Brian

Based on your question, your best bet would be to read ISO 12100

Sorry but I can't provide such a bibliography as I never had the time to look,
but there are masses of documents "out there" if you want to look yourself -
and probably many from academics at the various institutions that specialise in
safety and risk assessment (e.g. Tim Kelly at York University in the UK comes
to mind as he has produced many papers on various aspects of "theoretical
studies" of safety, and then there is the Journal of the UK Safety and
Reliability Society [SaRS] which I get regularly - and I am sure there are lots
of other similar sources of info around the World)

"... hopefully involving some who have had "field" experience of similar
products and the HAZARDS that they have faced..."

"... become familiar/"comfortable" with what it is trying to achieve and how it
is prompting/helping YOU to do it..."

Can you provide a bibliography of articles by academics who have studied and
written about RA?

How would you apply RA to the design of a bridge, for example?
