That would be the book I recommended.

I am rarely more than 2 meters away from my copies of Ott and Paul when I'm working. I'm wondering what's out there that's more focused on power electronics. In my dream world, there's a book for power electronics that's the equivalent of what Howard Johnson's "High Speed Digital Design: A Handbook of Black Magic" is for signal integrity. I was lucky enough to attend his last training seminar and have an autographed book. I refer back to this book a lot. It's old and it was written when operating frequencies were far lower than what we see now. However, it covers the basics well. Clayton Paul's book on EMC is more recent. It still has some obsolete information, such as Fortran code, but it also covers the basics. My general advice is to get this basic knowledge and then put it into practice in the lab. I learned far more by testing things than I did designing them and having other people give me the test results. Ted Eckert The opinions expressed are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of my employer. They are also the opinions of an old-timer who never designed a PCB with more than 6 layers. Learn why this is important Hello! I've got a younger engineer who (blessedly) really wants to learn how to design power electronics that can actually pass EMC testing. Does anyone have any go-to references, articles, books, etc. that you like to pass along to newer folks? Any and all recommendations appreciated, thanks!
