I think that's how I did it, mounted the tubes in my lathe vise and milled the sides of the tubes. There was a bit of hand filing.
I just took a glance at digikey's catalog and I think you might want to try the Fairchild parts on page 1984. They have one with a 3.81mm slot. There are some Omron ones on page 1985 that may have a wider slot. I measured the slot on mine and it is about 0.195" which is around 5mm. The part number on mine is "T p850" I don't see a manufacturer label anywhere. Make sure you get a couple in case you blow one up. By the way, I heard that there is a potential merger between Honeywell and Fairchild in the works. The new company formed will be called "Fairwell Honeychild" Baddaboom:) I heard that joke 10 years ago and it still kills me...and I don't often get a chance to use it! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gene Heskett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Cc: "Dean Hedin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, April 25, 2007 9:25 PM Subject: Re: [Emc-users] Need a contour finder probe > On Wednesday 25 April 2007, Dean Hedin wrote: >>Hope it works out for you.
