Thanks so much for your help, however I seam to be a little bit off on what
version to get from cvs. The wiki says
To get a particular version of emc, use "-rRELEASE_X_Y_Z" (a "release tag")
to get version x.y.z. For instance, to get released version 2.1.6, use
export CVS_RSH=ssh cvs -z5 -d:ext:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs co -rRELEASE_2_1_6
-demc2.1.6 emc2
How do I get the latest development version? I downloaded the tarball,
but that didn't install quite right. Any sugestions?

version of emc2, not just pull a few files from the development version
and add them to your installed version.
You can compile the development version without disturbing any of the
files from your installed version. Instructions are located on our
