With this you'd have to supply the DC power.

There are motor drives available for lower voltages like they use in 
battle bots, R/C speed controls, etc.  You may be able to put together 
something like that and use higher voltage driver FET's or IGBT's.  I 
guess it all depends on if you would prefer to spend money or tinker a 
bit.

At work they have replaced some of the older DC drives and motors with 
AC, I'm not sure what they did with the old stuff but it was mostly 
500VDC motors 200+ HP on rubber mills and extruders, smaller stuff on 
the conveyors.
