Jon,
This morning I was able to get it working.
yesterday
not working - module will not load - other sims run
diags not able to see the boards
change bios from EPP to ECP - I know it is supposed to be EPP - it
was EPP in the first place
diags not able to see the boards
run pcisetup
diags able to see the board - emc still will not load module -
other sims will run - anything with ppmc will not run
in frustration - go home - relax - send messages to EMC2-Users-List
read responses
today
restart machine
diags not able to see the boards
run pcisetup
diags still unable to see the boards
reset BIOS to EPP - also change another BIOS setting to be sure
more of the BIOS is changed than just the ECP to EPP - grasping at
straws
diags now able to see the boards
EMC2 starts and runs
working on G&L configuration
Thanks for the responses and suggestions. This settled my mind that
the software was not the issue. Focus on attention and hardware was
the answer.
