Hey Everybody, just a quick question because i am lazy enough not to be looking at the source, maybe somebody of you already knows the answer.
When i close the axis gui with the big X in the upper right corner of the window my amps stay tuned on and start drifting because there is no pid controller providing any commanded position. I think either that hal signal axis.N.amp-enable-out for the different axes is not reset, or that it does not get low fast enough to actually drive the output before the hal modules are unloaded. Is this normal ? Of course one could argue that the machine should be switched off before the gui is closed, or that estop should be pressed (however estop is not machine off), but still that behaviour is not fool-proof at all. Is there any hal pin i can use to bitwise AND the amp-enables that is driven low when the gui closes ? Or is there any way that i can delay the unloading off the hal modules after axis closes and slip in some commands with halcmd to drive the amp-enable-outs to low ? Hardware is a stg2 card.
