A meter in a pyvcp displays whatever analog value you connect to it using hal
'net' or 'link' commands.

For example, if the signal Xpos-cmd carries the commanded position of
the machine's X motor, Xpos-cmd to pyvcp.my-meter, and then it would
show the commanded position of the machine's X motor:
    net Xpos-cmd => pyvcp.my-meter
