Thanks, John!! That fixed it!! I should have taken my time and read the link more thoroughly - I mistakenly thought that CVS TRUNK was the latest STABLE release, NOT the pre-release version. My bad!!!
Next time I won't be in so much of a rush to get things up & running. I guess it's obvious I haven't dealt with compiling sources much in the past. EMC2 is actually easier than what I've messed with in the past - no missing dependencies (that's why I hated the thought of compilation)!!!!!!!!!! Previously, I've had to thrash with resolving dependencies for hours to get some things to compile (and THEN not always successful!). Thanks for the push, John!
