In the old days, we called the actions of our Angular definition, "Wrapped Linear." Quite a few of the 4th axis machines I've worked on used this definition. It is very different from a 0-360 notion. IMO the planning for a 360->0 machine level reset needs to take account of encoders and gearing combinations that don't turn out to be exact.
