All of the currently used interfaces use all pins (VGA, DVI, HDMI).  
There are also very specific timing limitations and data formats.  
There's always a vertical blanking time (per frame) and horizontal 
blanking time (per line).

DVI and HDMI have an extra data channel, which is used for audio with HDMI.

None of the video interfaces have a fast return data channel.  They all 
have DDC or the equivalent, but it's relatively slow.

Overall, you'd be better off just getting a Mesa card :)
