It was a reply to a person who had replied to the original post. I agree it
would add nothing but cost, and emc would not be able to use the output at
all

I don't think that looks like the right sort of thing at all. It
doesn't seem to add anything that EMC2 can't already do in software,
and costs twice what a Mesa card does to do it in hardware. It claims
to "close the loop" but all it really looks to do is to trigger a
following error with Mach3 based stepper systems. EMC2 already has
that functionality available.

I am not meaning to be critical here, just trying to save the original
poster from some confusion
