No.. no marks of any kind that I can find.

Actually I am not sure this is bamboo...  The rod is a 3 pc with nickel 
plated reel and fittings.    About 9 feet overall.  The eyes are 
actually wire eyelets which hang off of small bits of wire that are 
attached to the rod with thread and then
coated with varnish.  Reel knobs are wood.  The lever on the reel rubs 
onto the side of the reel for a brake I believe.   Very simple.

I've seen some other rods like this but in antique fishing displays and 
museums once in a while.  Might be 100+ years old.    My Dad's 50+ year 
old rod looks like a "new" model next to this one.

The estate I bought it from was quite old - the house was 150+ years old 
etc.    The guy was in his late 90's when he died.    I've had it for 
10+ years now.
