That is about the size of it. For short runs in digital, say 4 feet or so, you can get away with cabling murder because the cable is shorter than the time of one pixel. Longer runs will often cause breakups because the echos are sufficiently time displaced to be thought of as a status change for the next pixel when it really isn't. Digital. Then it is usually up to the monitor to match the requested color to a very fine match. That said, my lashup has an extension cable so the run is about 6 feet, and the analog and digital modes seem very close to identical, on this monitor.
