Pretty cool! This reminds me---what are the advantages of the slant bed? I
can see how the classic horizontal toolpost might be less desirable for CNC
because it gets covered in swarf, but why is the slanted toolpost plane
better than say a vertical arrangement? Perhaps it helps to preload  the
linear bearings by sheer toolpost weight, leading to less chatter. Anything
else?
