We too had problems at first. I turned the hyper threading off in the bois and used no usb devises including mouse and keyboard. Try ECP and EPP mode in the bois under advanced peripherals. I have no lock ups since. Could be the reason or just luck, but that is what I did.

Here is a combination that works for me: Intel D510MO board with 2.4.6 EMC2. Using a PicoPSU, memory, and 4G SATA SSD the whole system is small, cheap, and reliable. Why get frustrated with untested motherboards? I don't know the history of this.. but have you done the basic? -boot off the livecd and run mem check? (hit the escape key when it starts booting off the cd and you see the little icon on the bottom of the screen (looks like a keyboard and a person iirc)) -overheating? -hd issues? I have run emc on a lot of systems testing.. I had the computer physically lock up when the harddrive started getting relocated sectors. You can check the smart data from within lucid by looking at the drive in >administration>drive utility. sam On 2/22/2011 12:35 PM, Jon Elson wrote: > Speaker To-Dirt wrote: >> Hi All: >> >> Just when you thought you'd heard the last of this problem here it is again. I installed the latest version of Lucid then aptituded my way to emc2. I thought that the lockup of the Foxconn 45csx Atom 330 R's had been fixed. Indeed for the entire weekend I tested my machine running emc 2.4.6 with no lockups in 40+ hours of runtime. This even included some full up tests with the mill in the loop. >> >> This evening I clamp up a part load up a file, and FREEZE! Glad it happened before I was cutting metal.
