Trick 1: You were looking at a website run by the specific laboratory.
NIST itself has a photo gallery. A search on "hexapod" at
http://patapsco.nist.gov/ImageGallery/search.cfm turned up two images,
one of the real hexapod and one of a VR version of same. Not so many as
I expected.

Trick 2: the Internet Archive. I think you'll find everything you want
at, for example,
http://replay.waybackmachine.org/20100527204402/http://www.mel.nist.gov/photos/hexa.html

Trick 3: send an email either to the NIST Public Inquiries unit or to
the Manufacturing/Robotics folks (Fred Proctor, for example) and I'm
sure they can provide or put up more images. You can mention my name if
you want; I can't promise it will help. Sending them an image of your
own work will undoubtedly go a long way :-)

I guess I was fooled by the nice floor. We had painted concrete. If we
were lucky, parts of it were covered with linoleum tile.

And to you, Andrew.
