Thanks Dave, It's a NetMos Technology PCI 9865 Parallel Controller card. I found this great tutorial here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1233589 and as you can see I posted a request but didn't get a response. The symptom is that my instance is showing the card as being disabled. I don't know what step I missed to enable the card. And I really don't have sufficient knowledge of sudo or any of the tools used in the message to work my way through error messages.
