Well, there are SPI and MMC serial ports on the OMAP chip on the Beagle,
and they have higher speeds and maybe no CPU wait states, but would need
a driver to format the commands.  The problem is that although TI created
a 3700-page document for programmers, it gives scant detail in some areas
like how the I/O system really works.

I'd be afraid other ARM systems might have the same documentation
omissions.
