Thanks Kent,
it's where I had arrived at, too. I wanted to be sure that the kernel
module saga wasn't giving me some hidden grief, but I'm sure that's not
the case now.
Thank you very much for the info regarding AMD PCs, I did a quick
latency check and it was very good until I started browsing, using
Firefox. But then I don't have a network connection on my cnc PC
(deliberately - at least when it's connected to the machine) and
therefore won't use it.
Need to spend some time with my better half now, as it's evening here
and she is on duty (Vet) the whole weekend 24hours (got an awful
slave-driver of a boss - herself). So I'll do the halscope thing tomorrow.
